Art Appreciation
This quote states that just because you have no fixed abode and have a nomadic lifestyle, does not necessarily mean you are without purpose. Just because a person continually travels, does not mean they are lost. I made this art thru hand sewing, where all my effort was put on it. Wanderers are labeled as aimless nomads, holding less than two feet on the ground, uncertain of their direction. This description holds a negative connotation, however I argue that it is those that who do not wander, those that never explore or seek out adventure, or decide for once in their lives that they won’t plan their every move, it is those people who are doomed to not just be lost, but rather to lose.
|The brush strokes and variation of shades of color that Van Gogh is known for creates a texture that make the painting seem rough but soft at the same time. Van Gough uses the elemental pieces of art to form the principle of his design. Swirls in the sky give the feeling of movement as the wind is blowing while looking over the town on a cold night. The swirls in the sky also draw the viewer to move their eyes across the painting and look down at the town and then back to the large cypress tree. The mix of emotion when looking at The Starry Night may also be attributed to Van Gogh’s struggles with his mental illness. He did mutilate his own ear prior to completing the painting, so we can infer that he was going through a personal struggle while completing the painting. However, something good did come out of his suffering. It did inspire a lot of people long after he was gone. I used waterbased paint colour. I was feeling exhausted when I created this art, but because of adrenaline fearing that I would failed this subject, if i didnt passed all the task. I might failed.
I try to tackle these images with absolutely no plan regarding the end result. I’m searching for an unusual angle that leads to a visual connection that is surprising for me (and the viewer) This series started as a very personal side project — I had discovered Instagram and thought it was a nice platform for the visual experiments I often do on the weekends.
The amount is not measurable due to their cooperation as frontliner in times of pandemic.
They wil always be there to heal wounds and cure the sick person. If not to them how can we manage to be healthy and feel safe. I used pencil crayons and oil paint. I feel motivated during this hard times. I work as health worker and im still studying in Dominican College of Tarlac.
If what the artist tried to portray is understood by a minimum of one person in the world, I would consider this a piece of art. What categorizes a masterpiece, however, is when the majority of people understand and recognize the meaning and are moved by the piece of work. The definition of art is the expression or process of creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Abstract art, nonfigurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are related terms, indicating a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art. Nonrepresentational art is often understood as the personal expression of subjective experience, communicated by the artist to the viewer. I painted those portrait through the use of waterbased colour and I was inspired by my motivation to be resilient in times of this pandemic. My academic and work place has been affected.
1. I made this art based on what I felt todays online education. That it seems Internet(wifi signal) is the most essential thing that everyone needs in this day of pandemic. The zigzag made of yellow symbolize the sun gazing upon mornings in my windows. Black and White represent the the Yin and Yang is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. I placed opera mask which symbolize the ups and down in my life. Which is near with the broom that is my usual task in the morning. I found my new hobby in planting because it cheers me whenever Im back at home. My pet cat looks like a Jaguar to me because we never get along. Pencils symbolize the never ending modules I struggled to finish. Instagram,Tweeter, and Youtube are my psychiatrist aid whenever Im hyperventilating. Pizza became my most favorite food for its cheap price and savory flavor. See that palm tree? It symbolize my dead plants which I often forgotten to water.
